About me
Dr. Barry Fernando, Founder and CEO of Anzu®, brings a physician’s insight to medical software solutions. Since founding Anzu® in 2010, he has spearheaded innovative platforms addressing key challenges in patient care and physician workflows, combining clinical experience with a passion for technology.
Past experience
Dr. Fernando began his career with a magna cum laude Chemistry degree from the University of Arizona, followed by medical school and specialized training in general and plastic surgery. He practiced aesthetic and reconstructive surgery for over 30 years, earning Phoenix Magazine’s “Top Doctor” honors. A certified plastic surgeon, he co-founded Anzu® and Ronan Solutions™, where he pioneered software innovations in patient engagement and clinical studies.
Credentials
Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Fernando has contributed to technology advancements in surgery education and holds four patents. His expertise spans medical software, clinical study design, and educational platforms.
